El Despertar – Espresso Blend
El Despertar means the awakening — and that’s exactly what this coffee is about.
This blend brings together two origins we really love: Colombia and El Salvador — two different landscapes, two different energies, meeting in the cup.
From Buesaco, high in the mountains, comes structure and balance. Grown between 1800–1960 metres in volcanic soils, these coffees — mainly Caturra and Castillo — develop slowly in the cold climate, resulting in a sweet, floral cup with depth and clarity.
The other half of the story comes from Finca Los Naranjitos, in the Apaneca Ilamatepec in El Salvador
This is Alfonso Escobar’s farm — a place rebuilt from the ground up after his family lost everything during the civil war. What he’s created now is something special: a small, high-altitude farm focused on quality, sustainability, and doing things properly.
Here, varieties like Bourbon and Pacas are grown with care, and most of the coffees are processed using natural and honey methods. With limited water at that altitude, these approaches not only make sense — they also bring out more sweetness, more fruit, and more life in the cup. Drying on African beds and using organic compost systems, everything is done with intention.
And you can taste it.
Together, these coffees create a blend that’s balanced, smooth, and full of character — your everyday go-to, but with something extra behind it.
